White Coed’s Burden 

Smiley islanders set out to give
the white lady chiney bumps 
for Carnival, but luckily

she had her shrieking daughter
nearby: ivy-league sentinel 
for cultural appropriation

on a mission to voice offense 
on behalf of all pitiable peoples 
too whitejacked to do so.
