Sims School Bus in the Tsunami
Let's workshop this poem about the human tendency to normalize suffering, to tolerate ever-worsening conditions, in what could be seen as spoiling the sadistic intent of our simulation's evil designer
Sims School Bus in the Tsunami
Too often the cosmos
insinuates malignant design—
its dental-drilling demiurge deaf,
however, to our Promethean knack
for recalibrating baselines
amid mounting anguish
(frogs in water slowly heated)
until death obliterates us
into untorturable smithereens.
