Sharp for Concrete Survival
Let's workshop this poem about a man feeling the negative ramifications of the antiracist dictum "The only solution to past discrimination and terror is present discrimination and terror."
Sharp for Concrete Survival —for Audre Lorde Conscious that his identity as a white male trembles now along the margins, the edges of the larger social structure (especially of the university), his resultant hypervigilance against threats of the end— end of reputation, livelihood— grants him a special acuity.
