School Dance Interlopers 

Against the advice 
of envious friends 
taking on tones 
of an after-school special,

the teen girls leave 
the gymnatorium dance
with boys, yes, 
from another school,

boys with few qualms 
about abandoning
their car-less links 
to the inside.
