Prometheus
Let’s workshop this poem about the first steps of humanoids toward harnessing the power of fire
Prometheus
Thumping meat—stone
against stone—to cut
chew time, sparks
perhaps had ancestors
think to make fire
that would soon let them
sleep out of trees
and cook meat to tender
umami hunks few
might have ran across
earlier in game charred
from a lightning blaze.
