M. A. Istvan Jr., HR-blacklisted for artistic expression in violation of safe-space dictates, has now stopped allowing society to make a return on its (public-school and free-lunch) investment in him. Grabbing up food stamps and other government funding (in as many states as he can) is his way to make sure taxpayers pay for allowing the excesses of cancel culture to ravage the university of all places. Real consequences like these—rather than effete arguments as to the importance of intellectual diversity and free expression, or of experts not having their research and teaching dictated by DEI officers barely out of undergrad—function as effective protest of the movement that has ruined him as a professor in the name of ensuring that no students be unsettled (well, at least no students with identities the powers that be have decided belong to protected categories).
