Hesitate and Lose

In that society unjust
for placing justice
over truth, nuance itself
was judged oppressive 

since—in threatening 
to uncover textures 
in smooth narratives 
unrivaled for outrage, 

in threatening to show
bullheads realities 
beyond red capes—
it threatened activism.
