Let's workshop this poem

Foucault 2

There were epochs 
where kids who tugged 
until penny-payers 
shot “curdled milk” 
felt no trauma even 
beneath their giggles.

But just because kids 
have been groomed
now to find such tugging
traumatic does not mean
they do not really 
find it traumatic.
