Let's workshop this poem about the cultivation of fragility and the hygienic importance of free speech as well of MAGs (Mutual Assistance Groups) as opposed to FAGs (Faggot Assistance Groups)
Barbarians Out of Mind
Had the culture not banned
“unsafe” viewpoints disquieting
to regurgitated tradition
(especially those accusing it
of favoring fantasy over reality)
it would have been ready,
like immune systems honed
in adversity, for threats nursed
in the dark of sealed gates.
“We need books that affect us like a disaster, that grieve us deeply, like the death of someone we loved more than ourselves, like being banished into forests far from everyone, like a suicide. A book must be the axe for the frozen sea within us.”—Kafka (against the safe-space cancel culture pushed by anti-art bullies, left and right)
