A Voice Not Our Own
Let's workshop this poem about men thinking they hear God encourage them to have many wives
A Voice Not Our Own
Boys bred promiscuous
for eons (unlike with girls,
who—softer—risk
harm from sex,
from birthing at best
once a year anyway,
from jealous mates
worried about paternity),
so many pro-polygyny
revelations in history
devout seed-spreaders
must have heard!
